ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
We sincerely thank the Provincial People’s Committees for their valuable guidance
and support, and the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development—now the
Departments of Agriculture and Environment—in Dong Thap and Son La for their critical
roles in supporting those dialogues.
We are grateful to all local departments and stakeholders who actively participated in
the training and technical workshops and provided essential insights and feedback to
enhance the dialogue process, as parts of the implementation of the National Action Plan
on Food Systems Transformation (NAP-FST) at the sub-national level.
We also appreciate the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Agriculture
and Rural Development—now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment—for serving
as the national focal agency for the process.
We highly appreciate the enthusiastic involvement of strategic partners from the CGIAR
Initiative on Sustainable Healthy Diets through Food Systems Transformation (SHiFT)
(2022-2024) and the CGIAR Better Diets and Nutrition Science Program (BDN) (2025-
2030) as co-leading organizations in the process, including the Vietnam Academy of
Agricultural Sciences, Institute of Strategy and Policy on Agriculture and Environment,
and the National Institute of Nutrition. We are thankful to their dedication to leading
sessions under the sub-national process, as well as for acting as the BDN focal points
for collaboration with provincial authorities in Dong Thap and Son La.
Our sincere thanks also go to the facilitators, notetakers, and support teams, whose
efforts ensured the smooth organization and documentation of this process.
Finally, we gratefully acknowledge Glenn Hyman, Consultant Editor with CIAT’s Science
Writing Service, and Olga Spellman, Science Writer and Editor at Bioversity International,
for their careful and professional copy editing of these guidelines.
