6.6. Step 6 - Validate and finalize indicators: The second plenary technical
          meeting with the PWG, the NSG and extended stakeholders to validate and
          finalize selected indicators and the current state of the local food system


          Objectives


             -   Validate the final list of indicators selected for the food system profile with the
                 PWG, the NSG, and extended stakeholders.


             -   Review and validate the current situation of the local food system.


          Outputs


             -   The final list of indicators for each element.

             -   A description of the current situation of each element and sub-element of the
                 local food system.


         Common instructions for application


             -   The second plenary technical meeting should be held with the PWG and relevant
                 stakeholders.


             -   Local  officials  and  stakeholders  should  be  divided  into  four  main  sectors
                 (Agriculture, Socio-Economics and Trade, Health and Nutrition, and Environment)
                 to discuss the list of indicators considered for selection from Step 5 (see Annex
                 10 for the facilitation guidelines for group discussions and Annex 11 for more
                 examples).


             -   Local officials and experts will review the total scores and examine all indicators
                 considered for selection to determine whether they agree or provide feedback for
                 adjustments, replacements, or the inclusion of additional indicators.


             -   The  description of  the  current  situation of  each element  and sub-element of
                 the local food system should be analyzed from both data and provincial reports
                 summarizing each sector.
