HIGHLIGHTS FOR USERS
To effectively prepare for Step 5, the PWG and NSG should hold a brief discussion
together to synthesize and organize the initial indicators developed in Step 4,
aligning them with the framework.
6.5. Step 5 - Score and select indicators: The first plenary technical meeting
with the PWG, the National Inter-Sectoral Supporting Group (NSG), and
extended stakeholders to agree on scoring criteria, review indicators,
assign scores, and select suitable indicators
Objectives
• During the plenary technical meeting
- Prepare a list of scoring criteria for indicator selection and ask the PWG and
experts to review and refine it.
- The PWG, the NSG, and extended stakeholders will review, adjust, and add
indicators and assign scores to indicators using available data.
• After the plenary technical meeting
- Pre-select indicators to be included in the food system profile based on the pre-
identified criteria.
Outputs
- Finalized scoring criteria.
- Scores given for each indicator.
- Pre-selected indicators for each sector listed.
